Indanwood Lake 2018 There were two issues with this project; one was the normal shoreline erosion, and the second was muskrats burrowing and causing damage. We used composite sheet pilings and drove them down about 4’ about 1’ behind the OWHM. They lock together and should be a formable defense to those pesky muskrats. We then installed 12” Dia coir logs just offshore. A wood chip path was installed to access a new dock. Native species plants were added to provide long term stabilization along the shoreline and in the coir log.
